I'm from karnataka, and all the things which you said are very true, but i want to clarify one thing about language issue, it's just that if I come to delhi Or mumbai i should communicate in hindi Or that regional language, but in case of bengaluru our local sellers should learn many different languages as no one will try to communicate with us in our language, how will you guys feel if someone comes to your place and disrespect your own language and culture, I'm not saying everyone are like that, but most of the people does like that, and I'm not at all defending the people who create violence in the name of language, in fact many of those people only pay hefty fees to admit their children to english medium schools, and those protests were took place because some shops were putting name board only in English and hindi, and didn't display single kannada word, isn't it disrespect towards our language? I believe that language is just way to communication, but if someone tries to prove our language is superior than your language, then local languages revolt against that, and some political parties makes them big issue and sensationalize it for some extra votes

Roads in Bengalore can’t be widened and traffic will be be still become challenging in year on year. Water for Bengalore is taken by TN and migrants don’t support Cauvery issues. I'm from Bengaluru as well. I really admire the inputs you've provided, and it's a huge burden to survive in the city with all the factors pulling us back. The political system is bad, instead of looking into the matters of water crisis and lake re-development initiatives ASSERTIVELY, the government intends to provide women free transportation, BPL card holders certain amount of rice (that is being borrowed from other states) and more. It feels like there is absolutely no plan or focus is whatsover from the government. I have taken my career in development studies due to all of the tragedies that our country is facing. And with relevant experience and exposure to different backgrounds, I would additionally request for you to not convey that "so called activists are focusing on saving kannada culture, " they are two different issues, you cannot tell that it's not an issue. I absolutely agree that the manner the activists approached is hideous and embarassing, and there is no right in that. However, I hope you know the language is the 3rd oldest language in India and because of the migrants, moreover because of the ignorance of Kannadigas, the language has taken a turn towards demise. There are so many issues in the city I come from: water, environment, shelter, safety, and many more. Consecutively, language, culture and Identity is a relevant factor as well. Even in Bengaluru, I feel like I'm in the North or perhaps another state. What destroyed Bengaluru? 1. Migrants - feels like colonialism. 2. Kannadigas - so ignorant regarding everything. 3. Political System - inevitable ignorant leaders with no emphasis on important development aspects. 4. Prioritising economic growth over economic development.

My dear friend, it's state government more than companies who is forcing people to work from office because they have given space to companies on subsidised rates, also they are claiming that they are losing local business because people are working from home, so loss of economy also. Hence, they are forcing companies and in turn companies are forcing employees. Otherwise, companies made exceptionally high profit during covid time, when everyone was working from home because no rent/lease properties, assets etc.

I’m from Bangalore, been here all my life and it’s a well constructed video. But the last bit isn’t completely accurate. On the one hand I agree that violence of any kind is not acceptable, especially over language and especially in a country like ours where we take pride in our diversity. But if one’s tries to look at the other side of the story you will see that a decent percentage of the people who come to Bangalore disrespect and mock the locals and the language like it’s inferior or below them. Also there is a subtle but persistent attempt to impose hindi when they communicate, saying it’s the language of India, again I repeat, not all of them but unfortunately a large enough portion to make the locals feel uneasy. Finally, kannadigas are very accommodating and friendly, all it takes is a small attempt/effort of the part of the people who come to learn and say some basic words in kannada and the locals are very happy to help and appreciate the effort. When living in Germany or Spain or France we would try and do that same but kannada and most local languages in India are considered “uncool” by a large majority of the people. I guess what I’m trying to say is that there needs to be a little bit of give and take from both sides and also a change in attitude about what we think the other person’s intentions are (including me, I’ve made a blanket statement here based on a few experiences and many “stories” I’ve heard without knowing the accuracy of them)

I live in Bangalore. Most of the incidents referred here are isolated issues to few colonies. Yes, when it comes to traffic it's an issue We are facing. May B due to rapid urbanization the planning was outdated and no government expected so much in flux of people. Now things are changing in the proper direction. When it comes to language issues it's primarily because as much as outsiders have contributed for Bangalore growth they have also participated equally in spoiling the culture and infrastructure. It's all about balancing culture, language as well as being liberal towards influx from other parts of India. I believe mutual respect and keeping the city clean together will help in long term

Even after all of this, everyone in India will not think twice before completely moving to Bangalore. This city is the best for raising a family due to various reasons. So people will keep coming to Bangalore no matter what. So the government should come up with unique solutions to the Bangalore problem. People who live in Bangalore will not move to another city in India, that's the problem.

Cause of Illegal constructions and layouts is unrampnt corruption at Bangalore Development Authority(BDA) and BBMM(Bruhath Bengaluru Mahanagara Palika) over 25 years. Lokayukta has raided dozens of its officials and found hundreds of crore cash hidden at their houses.
