Amma says, "Those who regularly chant the Lalitha Sahasranama will never face difficulties in their worldly lives. They will never lack food, clothing, or other essentials." As we interpret the Stotra, it's important to note that the Namavali begins with the sacred prefix "Om" before each mantra. The Stotra begins with… śrīmātā-śrīmahārājñī-śrīmat-siṃhāsaneśvarī [ Salutations to her who is the auspicious Mother, who is the Empress of the Universe and she who is the queen of the most glorious throne] (Sri Lalitha Sahasranama - 1-3 ) In the ashram, the Lalitha Sahasranama is chanted as the Namavali, with each mantra recited individually. Om śrī mātre namaḥ Om śrī mahā rājñyai namaḥ Om śrīmat siṁhāsaneśvaryai namaḥ It is the first prayer chanted early in the morning. From 6am to 6pm, devotees take turns reciting it continuously without interruption. In many temples, Udayasthamana archanas (chanting the glorious names of Devi from sunrise to sunset) are popular and commonly performed. This practice is also observed in the Brahmasthana Temples. During the Brahmasthana Mahotsav, in Amma’s divine presence and following her advice, the Kodi archana (chanting the mantras a million times) is performed. At least five archanas are held each day, with thousands of devotees eagerly participating. They join in chanting the refrain... śivaśaktaikyarūpiṇī [She who is the union of shiva and shakti into one form] (Sri Lalitha Sahasranama - 999) ...to each of the mantras of the Lalitha Sahasranama. Occasionally, satsangs (spiritual discourses) are delivered on the greatness of the Lalitha Sahasranama. Amma herself encourages her children to chant the Lalitha Sahasranama regularly, assuring them of its profound benefits. Through Amma’s words and her bhajans, it becomes clear that chanting the Lalitha Sahasranama is equivalent to worshiping the Supreme Consciousness, the Paramatma.
