Cat furniture, safety and design issues. If you have email contact I can send a list. I run a small cat sanctuary in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and often people donate products to my rescue that are brand new but I learned a long time ago the reason they do is that they don't work like they thought they would. I have real issues with certain cheap Temu cat products right now, products like the macrame hanging beds, they are NOT beds they are plant hangers they are calling pet beds they don't come with inserts, the rope isn't thick and it has to be put up in a ceiling beam but the problem with that is the bed itself won't stand up to cats jumping up and in...my poor cat almost broke her leg, I have never tossed anything as fast as that bed. So I would love to see you provide more content on products that are selling for a lot but you have to wonder if its not because they are for a pet I have had so many accidents over the years caused by poorly made cat furniture.

I had to buy these for my three as one has food allergies and needs RX food. I have to admit it took a bit to get them used to the bowls. Also I had the problem of a greedy cat getting her face in the as I was trying to sync other cats. After a couple of resets they all have their own bowl. I too do not like the open close button to be so close to the add cat button. Also the expense of buying back guards to prevent cat thieves (do they not know cats?) they should be stock. Bowls not being dishwasher safe is also a bit of a drawback. And so correct why not be rechargeable? Yes very expensive but I think of them as medical devices, so I bought three. ..cats.

3 Ouch! They’re expensive but yeah, as you said, if they solve the problem then it’s well worth the money. Have you tried the metal bowls? We throw them in the dishwasher although again, it’s ANOtHER expense lol 😂 🫠 Good to hear we weren’t the only ones having these experiences with the button lol! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on the video ❤️

How quickly will the lid close once kitty moves, I have a cat who will stick his head in, kicking the other kitty out, will it close on him? I need it to! Thanks
@Pepperprojectz17 күн бұрын
Hahaha we had the same thing. On the bottom is a sensitivity switch to make it more sensitive. Once your cat moves their head out the way, it will close regardless of whether your cat has got their head in or not. It’s very much a ‘slam the door shut type of deal’. (Your cats head won’t get stuck or anything).

When we get home, we’ll record it :)

Just tested it between 1-2 seconds. And yeah. The lid will close it even if they got their head in just in time.

3 things I don't like because there is nothing I like about this feeder. 1 The cats posture is unnatural conducive to issues with vomiting. It is recommended that you feed cats using higher dishes that are slightly tilted so that the cat sits up in a more natural position to swallow. This will slow them as well as making them feel full because the food will go to the stomach and won't get caught in the cats throat. 2 You mention that you like the ashthetic but when I look at your cats eating they are so very uncomfortable in a constricted position eating in an unnatural position and their body language isn't happy...the whole feeder looks like it could cause injury if a cat was surprised or another cat tried to take the food they could get stuck in between the top and the back top cover that is up. 3 ANYTHING that is run on batteries is not food safe and why they don't think pet food isn't like human food I will never know. However if you get a rechargeable appliance you will notice that the appliance is a CLOSED battery to ensure that any possible toxicity will not possibly transfer to the food as well as it being the correct voltage. Just because it runs using rechargeables its not running properly and in actuality telling people that it seems to be fine is negating the manufacturers warning and placing yourself in a liable position should someone do the same thing and their feeder causes a fire or the rechargeable battery that can't deliver enough voltage to leak as they are much more toxic than an alkaline battery. I do like your content and your presentation but I sincerely suggest that you research into the legal liability issues this content could present. In fact, since your not a sponsored partner with the maker of the item, you are in a position to be held liable on a manufacturers claim should someone follow your advice. BTW I am a Canadian Paralegal, I am retired, and I would hate to see you getting off to a great start and then suddenly get punched by KZbin or someone who would rather report the content then point it out to you. I honestly am not trying to be a jerk I have watched all of your created video's, have reacted, made other comments and subscribed so that I can support you to get your channel to a broader audience, as I really do like the presentation and the information your offering...especially the spread sheet that is a great way to present the outcome. On this one tho your reviewing a 6 year old product however, you could possibly get these items for free to review by using Amazon Business and partnering with or purchasing via the warehouse discounts or even contacting the Corporations who make then and request items to review on your channel a lot of them may send you a free product if you keep emailing just to turn you off lol.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We really appreciate your support and concerns 😊 We had considered the posture situation before, so your insights provide valuable food for thought-pun intended! Ensuring our content is safe and accurate is a priority for us. Thanks for watching and for your suggestions on how to improve our channel! 😀

I think you are getting a little carried away here. There’s no danger to the cats at all. I’ve been using them for 6 years and now have 14 of them!! I also have the Felaqua water bowels. All powered by batteries. The risk of battery leakage is so tiny as you go through them far too quickly as it is! These aren’t batteries that live in there for years. This is one of the biggest pains is they use up batteries so quickly, especially the connect ones which I use. My other biggest issues is how difficult they become to clean after a while. Much gets in between the bits of plastic and the only way to get to them is to take them apart which is not easy at all! 😊

@@OneManFiveCats I run a cat sanctuary all the cats dishes are propped so they don't vomit the dish doesn't accommodate the cats natural eating posture and I hate food waste and seeing cats chuck because the food doesn't go all the way down. To each his own, I also would never use a robot litter box either, as there have been accidents with those, since robots can malfunction and cats have also hit the buttons on the automated items like mentioned in this video how easy it was to have the two cats opening one dish accidentally. If you don't use batteries in human appliances for safety reasons it makes sense to me that we should think the same about our cats. One of my cats just experienced food poisoning because the food was on delivery with Amazon and sat in the heat all day I assume since my neuro cat was ill and my others wouldn't touch it so even the pet food needs climate control. I will agree to disagree and nice to meet you, we can now both tantalize on future content lol.
