I honestly don't give a care about Robbie's ability to sing! What matters to him is that he makes the crowd love him because he does what he does best. And that is entertainment!
@starkers19978 жыл бұрын
And I'm saying this because I have seen him 3 times! (once with Take That, and twice on his own)

His shows and legacy far outweigh Take That. It's like comparing Nigel Farage to UKIP

@michelebelfiore9213 жыл бұрын
@@ELPaso1990TX actually the queen doesn't cost a single taxpayers penny, what the queen gets per year is a percentage of the profits made by tourism in royal estates. The only costs are the ones about security and diplomatic voyages but you would have the same costs even if you'd live in a republic. P.S.The cuts you're taking about aren't caused by the queen, we experience the same thing all over the world, I live in Italy, a republic, and there are cuts since 2000

We were in London during the Jubilee year and all of the city was decorated. Sadly we were not there for the concert. But seeing the entire Mall filled with people is amazing. Robbie Williams is a British treasure, just like Gary Barlow both from Take That. America is missing out on the talent and force of Robbie Williams. I was 11 when we were in London for the 25th Jubilee and I actually saw the she was going around the city in a car, and we were in the right place at the right time. Notice Roger Taylor And Brian May from Queen in the audience towards the end.

Different strokes for different folks, my friend. I happen to think Joni Mitchell is the greatest singer/songwriter that has ever lived ... female or male. But that's just me. I am capable of appreciating more than one singer. Different singers, different songwriters, different eras, different genres ... none are mutually exclusive ... you can love more than one. I am capable of appreciating many artists. To say unequivocally one is better than another is like saying red is better than green.

i have to say, would president obama have this concert outside the whitehouse? answer NO........our queen with the message "as long as you clean up afterwards" legend!
@ELPaso1990TX7 жыл бұрын
But at least president Obama was elected by the people. Nobody elected the Queen and nobody was asked if it was ok for £3 billion of tax payers money to be spent on a day long jubilee party.
@AmberPanda7 жыл бұрын
The estimated cost of the American presidential campaign 2016 was 5 billion dollars......you think that was money well spent?
@ronnigoodan86197 жыл бұрын
But those folk spend that money willingly. People who contribute to elections in the US do so willingly....it isn't derived from taxes and such. And let's face it....DONALD TRUMP needed NO HELP with funding.
@Pliam9617 жыл бұрын
In his first 4 years President Barack Obama spent 97 million dollars in costs relating to the operation of Air Force One, that is an entire Sovereign's grant for one year, multiplied twice. This is before we start talking about staff, maintenance, food, administrative costs, and other budget items. The estimation per year is 140 million dollars on the US President's Office, whereas the Royals in the UK only have the Sovereign's Grant, which FY 2016-2017 is around 60 million dollars, and being that the Sovereign's Grant is paid from the income of the lands the Crown owns (which is turned in voluntarily by the crown), which is usually between 350 million and 400 million and not taxpayer money like is spent on the US President, that is an entirely different thing.

Interesting that this concert was held only a few weeks after the Eurovision song contest. It shows that the UK can put on a music show far better and more spectacular than any of the Eurovision song contests. And this is with British artists and a few American ones only. Note that no European acts were invited to perform. Coincidence? No.

How is he doing well? He was heavy alcoholic and drug addict. He went to rehab and Take That was what got him back on track (as he said himself). Now he's a proud dad but he's selling less and less records. I'd say artistically Gary's the one who's moving forwards and growing every day. Robbie was big popstar, but isn't as popular as he used to be. These days they are more powerful together and the Progress tour (and the money they earned during the tour) is the proof.
