TroutHammer, wave reports tend to be very accurate. When the surf seems much bigger than the report, it is typically because the swell period is longer. Remember, the "surf" report is really the open-ocean swell report. 5' @ 7 seconds and the waves will look like you'd expect, but 5' @ 20 seconds and the breaking waves will be 10'-15' and extremely powerful. (Surfer of 53 years -- and fisherman -- here.)

Nice video Scott. I went to lost creek a couple weeks ago. Caught 6 nice red tail. Then caught 2 giant strip perch off the jetty. Nice job on your catch. Tight lines.

Hey man looks like you had a heck of a day. I went out at Newport Friday and caught 2 Salmon and one 64 pound halibut. Will be eating good for a while. I want to learn how to surf fish so if you could hit me up and tell me some tips and tricks I wouldn't mind that.

Man I used those same sand worms at the same place and have never had any luck on em lol. I always use sand crabs and mussels. Great video man, I subbed.

How's the sensitivity on that rod? Actually just got the Okuma PK uses and tried it once...it's ok, but not as good as my Tourny Trail was for casting...but it broke and Cabela's screwed me on the return and will never get my money again.

Its It's about as sensitive at the Fenwick Eagle, so very sensitive. I'm gonna do a review on the rod soon

When did you film this, I was there on Ona Beach on July 5th, 2019 and there was no bite at all, my first time surf fishing and I got skunked. :( I'll try lost creek next time.
