It helps to know about the tidal range in your area and about spring tides and neap tides when you are fishing the beach. Tides come in slowly to begin with, quickly in the middle of the flooding tide and then slow down again before they start to go back out. Known as the rule of 12ths
@jaybranning37355 ай бұрын
Mike!!! Get you a flow troll bucket, you can tie to a rope and a stick or something and it won’t float away on you, and will keep your bait and secure with its spring lid and alive for longer because it will constantly change the water in the bucket as it floats

That was quite an event there. Fish gets grabbed for lunch, shrimp see their opportunity and book it, if your rod had bent in half at the same time it would have been perfect lmao.

how do you manage to use live shrimp? I just came back from florida on a 2 week trip. was so excited to use live shrimp for my first time, and all the little guys tear up the shrimp in seconds before i can get anything. i use the sand fleas here in jersey. ive had some luck but again, therye torn up so quick some times. i keep them out there and idk how long an empty hook has been there bc theres no actual bite detected.

Awesome vid and yeah it looks like hard work. Only thing is to make sure your hands are fully wet when handling a speckled trout that you plan to release. Their scales are sensitive. Also carabiners, ropes and rings help to secure gear.
