I’ve had minnows last two days in a cooler with ice. A wise man showed me. Use a cooler fill it up with some ice. Wet some newspaper and cover the top of the ice. Then add your minnows. They will last a while

For flounder get 1 foot of leader under a piping corn with a red fish hook with finger mullet or mud minnows and fish mouths of creeks or flats or little pieces of grass

Just for some future trips I like docks on out going and creek mouths on incoming and the first few hours of the tides are the best

Incoming our outgoing tide are both nice times in the channels. Its the dead tide times that I've found to be slow. Backends where the incoming tide slows and the mouths when outgoing is happening can be bank. I'd love to drop some fiddlers around those doc pilings! I bet there are some sheepshead down there, and fiddlers will catch trout, reds, and black drum too! I've even caught a flounder on one.

The little flounder experience I’ve had in a boat, the object is to drift with the tide and the wind in the same direction, but yeah like your choice for the dock. Usually they are dredged a little deeper and it will be a little cooler and shady. Great place for trout to escape the mid day heat.

Lol 14 ft alligator. State record is 14 ft 3 inches. It's not impossible but highly doubtful. I have come across people that exaggerate the size of alligators all the time. Had people tell me that a gator near us was 11 to 12 ft long but in reality it was 8 or 9 ft.
