I served with those two guys at USCG AirSta Kodiak. I actually rode in that very van and watched him surf at Fossil Beach. Man, I miss the Emerald Isle.

barkon I surfed Pasagshak Beach because of this clip ...bought my board in Seattle, hucked it up to Kodiak on a research vessel

That is badass. Rich history here on the rock. I’m stationed here now and surf weekly. When I first saw the sequel to the endless summer I thought that those dudes must have been coasties.
