Wow, I used to fish and surf that beach many years ago, tons of Perch between the two rocky area and tons of small sharks there too, almost always windy there. Haven't been there in a very long time, sad to see the fire burnt the stairs away. Thanks for bringing back memories.

I think it's a great thing to do with friends, and you don't have to have expensive equipment to do it. Great for kids, too.

A lot of good information I like your narration , When you use your other hand to take the slack out of the line and you get a bite don't release the line hang on to the line then set the hook then release the line this way you don't have slack in the line when it comes time to set the hook and miss the set. What is the model number on that wrist watch? What is the link to the weather information?

Thanks. The watch is a Casio, and one of the coolest gizmos I've bought in my lieftime: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OVCF8U/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great video! Did you fish the sand worm at all, like jigging it? Or did you just let it sit at the bottom? Thanks!
@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors73055 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks. I think the Berkley sandworm in 2" camo is all that we fished. We cast it out, then slowly retrieve it - sometimes faster as the waves are coming in, sometimes slower as the water is going out. The trick is to maintain line tension, so the rig doesn't get fouled up and tangled.

I did, however, decide on the rig that i like best: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIGun4GMrrNkla8

Where exactly is this beach because I know Leo Carrillo beach but never seen this spot?
@honeybadgervoodoooutdoors73055 жыл бұрын
This is the beach you find yourself on when you walk down the wooden stairs from PCH. if you are going north, the wooden stairs are just past Leo Carillo campground.

Looks a lot more like Nicholas Canyon Beach. Think he doesn’t want any competition so he gives wrong location.

Hmm...interesting response. That might imply that I'm giving away fake intel and GPS coordinates in my other videos :) Beyond that, I didn't realize there was a "Secret Surf Perch Society" - aren't those things everywhere?

Can you comment the rig And line set up please I want to go out and try this!

joshtheram91 Like he said, the Fish finder or Carolina rig works good, I find the high/low rig to be more productive though when fishing in the surf with gulp sand worms. A great channel to learn about surf perch fishing is PK Yi
