Update: Tuesday 3-8-2022 clear sunny skies.
Morning low air temp 48 afternoon high 69
Wind light offshore NE early at sunrise 6:13am , the wind turns NW to W slowly past 8:00am peaking W 4pm 12-15 mph.
Sunset 5:55pm.
Surf has dropped very small NW wind swell 1 to 2 foot wave faces max 3.
Water 57 degrees.
Low tide 7:35am 1.1 best chance smooth
High tide 1:40pm 2.6 choppy ocean surface afternoon.
Not much change in surf tomorrow Wednesday.
Weather slightly cooler..
Update: Wednesday 3-9-2022 clear skies sunny.
Air temp morning low 48 afternoon high 65.
Water 56
Wind light E side offshore early sunrise 6:11am turning SE S SSW through out the day increasing W late afternoon 12 to 14 mph decreasing after sunset 5:56pm
Surf is very small NW wind swell 1 to 2 feet, maybe max 3 foot wave face early with smoother conditions.
Low tide 9:20am 1.1 high tide 12:47pm 4.2
Not much change in surf tomorrow Thursday.
Weather slightly cooler, increase in morning clouds..
Update: 3-10-2022 Thursday morning low clouds , afternoon hazy sun.

Wind light E early turning SE quickly S SW WSW by afternoon peaking 12 mph steady.
Surf slight increase wind swell NW 2 to 3 foot wave faces max 4 but very short period not much to ride.
Water 57
Low tide 11:01am 0.8 high tide 7:53pm 3 feet
Weather warms up some tomorrow Friday as offshore flow moves back in.
Surf cleans up a little also but expected to remain 2 to 3 foot range.
Update: Friday 3-11-2022 clear skies a little hazy. Air temp low briefly 52 with NE offshore wind warming up the morning early.
Wind does turn more onshore starting past 9am SE S SW and W late afternoon 10-14 mph.
High air temp 68 as cool wind comes off the Water temp of 57 degrees.
The surf NW wind swell and a small S swell combined 2 to 3 inconsistent max 4 foot wave faces combined.
Early is best with smooth sea surface.
Afternoon gets choppy, rideable but poor.

Weather tomorrow slightly warmer afternoon about 70 degrees.
Surf tomorrow Saturday about the same, best early..
Update: Saturday 3-12-2022 clear skies. Air temp low 49 , afternoon high 69.
Wind N offshore early sunrise 6:07am turning onshore SW onshore slowly past 9am peaking W 8-12 mph around 4pm.
Sunset 5:58pm
Surf S swell with a little NW 2 to 3 foot face set waves occasional 3 1/2.
Shape is fair morning with a few connectable rides.
Mostly choppy afternoon but still rideable.
Tomorrow Sunday about the same size with a touch more wind swell.
Weather some increasing clouds and more of an onshore flow will chop up the sea surface a little and cool down afternoon high air temp about 65.
Monday and next week warms up a little again with more sun..
Update: Sunday 3-13-2022 a few clouds morning afternoon hazy sun, cooler.
Air temp low 49 afternoon high 64 with onshore breeze.
Wind starting light S onshore at sunrise 7:06am wind turns SW and W peaking about 3pm 12 mph, sunset 6:59pm 1 hour forward, first day of daylight savings time.
Surf mostly wind swell NW and small S 15 secs giving it a few rideable peak sections despite the moderate ocean chop.
2 to 3 feet mostly a few brief 4 foot wave face peak sections, overall poor but rideable almost fair.
Weather warms up a little tomorrow Monday, and surf cleans up a little also especially early with a light offshore for dawn patrol..

First! Hi Henry. Nice forecast report! Again so small waves this week? Have there been in this year 2022 already 10 foot faces?

Hi Oliver, we have been stuck in this La Niña thing. January we had 1 swell about 8 foot wave faces right here on North Side. Last late Oct we had that 1 good size swell easy 10 foot wave faces, and slightly bigger at the Cliffs. Other than that a few quick hitters in between Dec 2021, but over all under what normally can happen in winter Huntington Beach..
