I just like how almost everything Cody remembers about this scene is wrong in some type of way. "He walked up to me," ...Cody pushes his way through. "He gives me this one of a kind unique necklace," ...the guy has a flipperful of necklaces that are exactly the same as his. The unreliability and distortion of memory is very realistic in this scene😂.

You can also go further and apply it to Cody’s view of Z’s philosophy: “he wasn’t afraid to live because he wasn’t afraid to die” as it’s later revealed that big Z faked his death because of his fear of being seen as a failure jn the eyes of others (a metaphorical “death” of his image).

2 years later, but that's one of the main common occurrences - this movie is a mockumentary, and often times Cody talks about himself in a better light to show himself up to the viewers. Other examples "One of a king necklace" - penguin behind Z has a bunch "And he tells me..." - big Z says nothing "When I realized Zeke was big Z I gave him a moment, that's the respectful thing to do" - Cody is shown announcing big Z is alive, and telling him to make a come back
