That shows how much impact good plays and good players have. I think it's nice. It shows that you can win with a lot of different stuff as long as you play well. Just might be a bit harder at times

Not saying this guy loses alot but say if they lost 3 in a row that won't be a vid but if it's 2wins 1 loss or such then it gets to be a showcase

@chrissaucier7413 We saw the video where he hit Master Ball again for Regulation H, and he entered at rank 299, if I recall correctly? Even if he fluctuates due to piloting all of these test teams, that he got matched with a 1300 player means that he's probably ranked fairly high, regardless of W/L rate. And if he's being matched with 1300 players, then he's probably decently high on the ladder, regardless of W/L rate.

on showdown I fought this really cool team with primarina perish song that boosts gastrodon - was really cool (liquid voice on primarina) - Needless to say got absolutely destroyed

Really nice seeing a balance team without the common standard core of Rilla, Inci, Peli, Amonguss etc, good build James! I only missed seeing Salamence being played, unfortunately I thought it was kinda awkward bring it on most matches since it's the only real fast mon on your team, and your team kinda relys on Trick Room, so ye Also crazyy last game, the opponent played really well

I like ice beam on gastrodon because there's so many good pokemon with x4 weakness to ice, salamence, garchomp, dragonite, hydrapple, niche picks like gliscor, torterra, flygon (whoever uses it) hits flying types, generally for pretty good damage especially when boosted with storm drain. I really like the clefable with life dew though, because i like to run rocky helmet and recover on gastrodon, it's a good to get that clefable for support, really cool team

Why do people always gunk shot over poison jab? I feel like I would rather take the consistent damage than that horrible accuracy?

Toxicroak is pretty weak so it's just for more raw damage. It's all preference though as missing sucks but needing 3 hits to k.o. might also lead to losses

Personally I used to run gunk shot on croak, but now I just use poison jab with Tera poison since it gives the same damage output as non-Tera gunk shot while also acting as a defensive Tera by removing its flying type weakness and 4x psychic weakness. Like I can plan for lower damage output, I cant plan for a miss. But on the inverse, gunk shot is better if you have a team that can accommodate for those misses somehow.

When reg H was going Archaludon Rain Mad, between that and Dondozo I was really wondering when Gastrodon would turn back up. I always liked the tera fairy variant way way way back in Reg Ages Ago (A, B and C? Maybe..?), because sometimes, now and then, you could catch Dondozos out completely if their only damage dealing moves were Wave Crash and Order Up.
