Quik blade. 88 sqcm. I forget the model name. I also have a Ona Ava. I cut it short about nose height. My should was a little sore. Short shaft helped with that. My shoulder is back to 100%. This paddle is about head high and seems just right.

Great video, thanks for sharing it! Look forward to seeing more videos. I'm wondering if I can ask your opinion about something as I'm trying to get into SUP foiling. I come from a SUP surf background and those conditions in your video look similar to my local beach break at times, and I plan to start to SUP foil in conditions like these (or slightly smaller). What board length and volume would you recommend? I don't really want to learn behind a boat as this seems unnatural to me. I've been looking at the Sunova Casey Downwind Pro for AUD 2.3k around the 6"6 or possibly 6"9. I am 70kg and have SUP surfed on boards 8"2+. I have also surfed a 7" surfboard. I also looked at KT Dragonfly 7"4 but think this might be a little too narrow and unstable at first. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Go big! Just makes learning so much easier. I recommend around 110 litres.

You don't prefer the armstrong for sup foil surf? I guess for these conditions getting up a little earlier makes little difference vs swing weight?

Could get onto waves earlier with the Armstrong forsure and easier. But like using this smaller board for performance and in the shore break. I know in close with breaking I’ll be able to paddle up. If that makes any sense

Awesome bro. Love seeing this- sub! Working on building my own foils to help me understand the physics. What’s the wetsuit thickness you’d recommend for the lakes? Winter/ spring/fall?

I 4/3 for milder days. And the 6/5/4 for when it’s real cold. Also sun and wind make a big difference. Probably could have gotten away with the 4/3 in that video
