What it takes to become a Professional Diver in Norway at NYD (Norsk Yrkesdykkerskole a/s - Norwegian Professional Education School as); course 186.
Story through two Estonians eyes - Rannar and Ervin.
The course lasts for 16 weeks.
Surface decompression using oxygen. Also, we made our 50m dives in that station.

So, does the tank allow you to decompress faster? Meaning you can get back into the water sooner? Or am I missing the point... Great work on your vids

Chamber Decompression allows the diver's decompression to happen in a very controlled way. According to ADCI, when a diver is in the water, even during in water decompression, there has to be a dive supervisor, standby diver ready, a rack operator (which could be the dive supervisor), and tenders (number of tenders varies on the depth). Surface decompression just needs a tender to run the chamber, for the most part. Also, when the diver is in the chamber, it frees up the work area so that another diver can get in the water to continue the work. Your RNT doesn't change by using a chamber. It's just a safer way to decompress as well as allowing the crew to get more work done.

A question about the helmets the approaching divers are wearing at 2:36, how do they equalise in those? It seems to just be a big glass-shield in front of the face?

You equalise either by techniques that don't require blocking your nose or you push your nose against a pad just under the glass in the helmet

Isn't possible to form bubble in the time you are out of water to the time you go to the chamber?

You can use contacts as long as they are breathable. I'm pretty sure most are. Most commercial diving here in the Gulf of Mexico is no vis diving anyway. I rarely see what I'm doing. Most based on feel and keeping track of everything in your head.
