Today the Disney CEO stated that Encanto is the "launch if a new franchise." I hope they go with a sequel series rather than a sequel film (assuming they're expanding the media); a film felt too short for a family of 12 (mainly Mirabel interacting with Bruno and Abuela, and Luisa, Dolores, and Isabela having quick story arcs, so it was only half of them).
