I'm 37 and I remember being in 6th grade in Miami, FL when this played on the radio and I wanted to go out to get the cassette. Of course I could not drive out to the mall by myself but my sister eventually brought it for me. That was all we had back then, cassettes and radios. Oh and of course Sony Walkmans. My how the times have changed. Never did I imagine that I could be playing this anytime I want on a PHONE for crying out loud. Sadly those simpler times were in my opinion more beautiful and fulfilling than now.

My mom used to always take me to the skating rink as a child and would have to hold me tight and dance with me every time this song came on when we were there. She passed back in 2002 when I was 14, and I had to put together all the courage I could muster to sing this at her funeral, one of the hardest moments of my life. I haven't heard this song in many, many years but think of her every time. I lost my best friend in the world last month, and I'm still crying my eyes out every day. I haven't felt this much pain since my mother's death, and just feel so lost. This song comes on the radio today and I felt like it was my mother just coming to be here for me and tell me everything will be okay. Time definitely does move fast...

The early to mid 90s had some great tunes such as this, I must admit. But, I still think the 80s was the best decade for music. Great and classical music began to fade away as we approached the year 2000. When I posted such statement elsewhere under other videos, I got many responses saying that it was the 90s. Of course, one or two people agreed, but the majority didn't. Now, while I am someone who respects other people's opinions, I can't help but argue that they are wrong. What you and I both agree to is a matter of fact. It is not just our opinion. And I reckon SOME, if not MOST, of these folks were not born at a time whereby they experienced both decade growing up. Thanks for sharing you thoughts.
