I could do that repair at home. Maybe this is the base repair and it costs more to make it like new.

Excellent tutorial. This is a highly functional and professional looking job in the surfboard world. If you want to go crazy with color matching as if this is a car, knock yourself out. I’d personally rather spend that extra time surfing.

This is polyester resin that uses a catalyst. You must be using epoxy resin which is 2 parts resin and 1 part hardener. It should harden with that ratio

I have a question! I did some research but I didn’t find a proper answer yet. So I want to have a lavander colored surfboard so badly. But the ones I find online are a bit pricey. I’ve worked with resin before and all of that. Butttt I’ve never donde coloring. There are a few surfboard for sale a good price in decent condition. But I don’t understand the process of painting the board quite yet. Some people use spray paint. Others boat paint and as far as I understand the proper way to do it is with colored resin and polishing. Can you give me some advice on how the real painting process should be? If I go colored resin. Do I need to apply some fiber glass fabric too? Or only colored resin and sanding and polishing?thanks I’m advance. Any information would be highly appreciated 🤍

You can still see it but it's much much better than the dink and with the ding being gone you'll be able to Surf properly without having any missed movements or issues or breaking so I say you did I would say about a 92% good job if you wanted to go step further you could have also done a few coats of paint and lacquer and Overcoat make sure that it's all good and good but that would also take a lot longer but it would also go into a better quality but any fix is better than no fix
