David Vesseur Absolutely... one my favorites for sure.

Cool how the pros you interviewed were so comfortable talking openly and “normally” about their equipment. Their responses felt so ... genuine ... unlike most post-heat “talking points” interviews. Whether WSL picks you up or not, I hope you continue to get access like this and share the goods. Way to keep upping the Surf ‘n Show game.

Sean Hughes I hope the WSL continues this sort of content. Each athlete is so different and I really enjoyed listening to them all. Cheers

Geeking out on the board talk mate, well done again. Really good insight into the EPS being too light. And the specifics on materials and ideal weight... Gold!

That was super interesting, thank you Noel! Also big thanks the Pros and shapers (if you read this) for sharing your insights! I would love to see more like this. France/Portugal/Brazil beach break boards vs. Bells/J Bay point break. Smaller contest days vs. better days, etc..

@vanislandsurf5 жыл бұрын
Honestly WSL should invite you to all events to talk boards with surfers and shapers. Who is it, Peter King? Not sure... but they do a horrible job on the WSL talking boards.
@surfnshowreviews77775 жыл бұрын
vanislandsurf I’m not sure who it is either.... it’s not a big focus of there’s. Hopefully one day it will be as I think a lot of their community finds it interesting. Cheers

If it's the Peter King I knew he was a really good surfer from La Jolla sort of following after Richard Kenvin who was after Chris O rourke. Good guy but irritating.

I think that Toledo's board is more backfoot compared to Medina's which I think it looks more as afrontfoot board. Also I thought Felipe's right wave performance was more difficult since the repertoire consisted an air immediately after the barrel which is more difficult from Medina's aerial since he had more time to focus in the manouver. Correct me if I am wrong

KOSTAS GOULAS Sorry not in judging mode on this stuff.... I would have to see both waves from beginning to end and put on my judging hat.

Noel again great perspective on both board and the wave pool. Were you able to actually ride a few yourself? Would be nice to hear your take on the wave itself.

Great videos as always. Love the new format Noel. I think that small wiry guys like Filipe and yourself are always going to do better on smaller waves like this. In my experience, us bigger guys like Occy, Sunny, Wade, Jordy, Panda etc will always be at a disadvantage in smaller stuff. I've been looking for a board that's good for big people in small surf for a while. I think I've found one, which I'll be reviewing on my channel soon. What are your thoughts on surfer size / weight vs wave height?
@surfnshowreviews77775 жыл бұрын
Big Guy Boards Surfboard Review Never really thought about it. Obviously a bigger guy will Surf better on a bigger wave with more power. The real challenge is to be a big guy like Jordy and shred the small stuff.... that small surf is 90% of the time at my house.
@GoliathFins5 жыл бұрын
@@surfnshowreviews7777 yeah, I also get a lot of small stuff here in the UK, which I struggle on. I much prefer a wave with a bit more push. For me it highlights how good an all rounder Jordy is. I'd love to see him win a well deserved world title.
@surfnshowreviews77775 жыл бұрын
Big Guy Boards Surfboard Review Absolutely he shreds in all wave types. Worthy of a World Title for sure.
