Fascinating history! ~ growing up in the 80s, and into the 90s, my Grandfather would walk me and my siblings up to the bluffs overlooking Bolsa Chica and show us the tracks for the big (and long gone) guns that overlooked the ocean.

I wished Long Beach had a channel like this especially since they have a lot of history. HB is beating us right now! Step up your game along Beach!

Another great episode. Such a tragic tale about the crash on the beach. I hope that the memorial marker can eventually be placed there.

Great episode. I've lived my whole life near these areas and never knew these stories. I'll never look at that stretch of Newland beach the same again.

I notice the plaque says the P-38 took off from March Air Force base, which is in Riverside, but the gentleman on the right said the P-38 took off from Santa Ana Army base. 🤔

Can you turn on the comments for all the episodes (Medowlark, Ep6 part 1)? Great place to share more stories of these events. Thanks
