Surfing at Paradise Cove in Malibu

I sat on a rock on shore balancing my iPhone on my knee with the longest lens available while shooting in 2K mode. Barbara called out to the guys that I had captured them on video. They seemed happily surprised so I turned the non-event into a slightly tongue in cheek surfing competition. I had a lot of fun recording the music which is an obvious retro takeoff on The Ventures. I'll add to Kelly Slater's quote at the end by saying I'm too old to surf, but I love watching with my camera :) This "event" happened on June 6, 2024 which happens to be the anniversary of a beach gathering called D-Day (the Normandy Invasion).
