@MARVIN SMALL - I'd love to because Kandui certainly ain't cheap! Not sure when that's going to be though as I've got other places to visit in the meantime but I'm sure I'll make it back there someday

Cheaper means shit boats, low or slow access to waves and very average food. Food is kinda crucial when surfing 6 hours a day. I tried cheap. Not worth it

You chose April knowing it was shoulder season and yet, in your summary, you whinge about not getting size and barrels. Yes, Rifles, all time kine, firing and connecting from outside all the way through for a 400 yd +++ ride happens just a few times each year... but there are many days that it'll run 100+ yds. Bankvaults, I've caught it OH on every single trip since 2011 and 2xOH a handful of times. All my trips have been Aug-Sept. and TBH, given your level of surfing, you wouldn't be able to handle solid BV or Rifles. Playgrounds area, Kandui is as close to 5 start as you're going to get. Wavepark and Villas is fairly similar. Regardless, I enjoyed watching your video.

@luckyuliveHI - fair points and yep, pumping Rifles or BV wouldn't be for me! I guess it's more of a commentary of how it's positioned because I saw a lot of rehashed videos being published pretending it was that week. Either way, wanted to give an honest opinion but regardless, loved the trip and just need to get better so that I can go in peak season!
