I especially like the music on this one. Suits Santa Cruz.

The Lane is like Rocky Point . When it Goes off so does the Surfing. Stand on the Cliff and watch the Best Surfers on the West Side take off. 🤙

First video I've seen of the Lane, is it usually that full? Does it get more vertical with tide changes?

It was high tide at the time, south swell

It can get a bit a more vertical in the winter (when Mavericks goes huge, Steamer Lane can also get really big) but this is pretty standard for the entire summer. Steamer is just super consistent

This place is like 1.5-2 ft of water depth too deep from being a completely different surf spot which would be an epic fashion. It's just a little too deep sadly. You can see how slow and wonky it is because of it and this is true even on good days. I definitely don't miss the crowd of this place since I moved out of the area. The overwhelming majority of swells when you're on the wave you can see it's trying to form up into a solid bowl in front of you and it almost does but it fails to do so nearly every time because of the depth. Otherwise this place would be a f****** freight train.

does it work well on a super drained tide? but yeah i kinda trip out how highly regarded it is for being a burger
