Smooooth. It blows me away that more surfers don’t see the superiority of foils in small surf. Their loss!

What size board are you using, and do you recommend for small wave conditions like this?
@Lanceisoutside Жыл бұрын
This board is a 4’4in x 18 in wide x 4 inch thick. About 50 liters. Im around 200lbs. As a reference. When I paddle a traditional 30-40 liter Foilboard, im very sunken in the water. Which fatigues me quickly and lowers my wave count and time on the water.

Nice riding! what tail do you run with your PNL185?
@Lanceisoutside2 жыл бұрын
Thank you ozone 🤙🏽. I basically run the same tail with every setup. I use the 14.5 flip tip tail with the 6 inch pedestal. Love that setup

Excellent!!! Nice switch stance rides too! Any damage from hitting the bottom?
@Lanceisoutside2 жыл бұрын
Never. Do it all the time. These foils are very strong.

Nice. Is that a life vest you’re wearing?
@Lanceisoutside2 жыл бұрын
Thanks CF. No, it is a military water hydration pack. Im able to have longer sessions with it and not get dehydrated from all pumping i do.

If you went out for a Wing Session after do you change the mast position for ProneFoil and WingFoil? Nice riding :)
@Lanceisoutside2 жыл бұрын
I swapped out my prone board for my 85 liter wing board. Wind was too lite for using my prone board winging. If i did use it, i would of left the position of the mast the same. Thanks 905!

I need to learn how to do that.. or at least wing

Summertime surf foiling sessions are cool…you just have to adjust your mast length to avoid some surprises! 😄

@@Lanceisoutside most of my home beaches are in fact reef breaks...they're really nasty when it gets smaller ! You can often hear that "crrrrrrackkk" sound when someone rides with a mast longer than 65cms. The positive aspect is that I've learned how to repair and sand carbon parts very quickly... 😀
