Was going to say the same thing. Really impressive watching him navigate the boil and foamball as well as he did. Want to give a shout out to Max Dodshon as well. Went on some absolute bombs and for people that haven't bodyboarded big waves with lots of boils and wind chop before, you have no idea how difficult it is to maintain speed and control. Seeing him navigate that was also quite impressive. You just don't have as much shock absorption in prone as you do standing: just holding onto your board is a challenge let alone being in control and drawing a sick line.

That was awesome! Great photography. The size of those waves really deceptive. They don't look big until you see the guys in them. I think the guy on the Boogie Board probably got the best rides of the bunch. Love the music too.

That little bump in the wave at the bottom is insane. You can do everything right and if you don’t dodge it, you’re poleaxed by a pipeline sized wave.

I'm writing this from one of the most "landlocked" places in the world! Minnesota! Dad moved me here about 4 years after being born in Wahroonga! I moved back to Oz right after highschool. Learned to surf. Took me months of every day. Thank God for "the Dole!" The next two decades it was all about surfing 🌊! These guys make it look so easy. From my limited perspective, this looks like a Very difficult and obviously Dangerous wave to surf! "Hellmen" only at this spot "Mate!"

What do you mean by chair at Dee why point?
@markbph23364 ай бұрын
@@pps900 hi. tim.... "the chair" is the DEEP (heavy) take off spot before the rpool.... most guys take off on or after "suck-up" the barrel in front of where most guys jump off the rocks (after the pool). when dee why point is big with the right swell direction a few guys take off at "the chair". it is spectacular free fall take off right on the rock ledge. it would make for some amazing footage. ps. love your work. the footage is amazing. and you know how to edit and bring the footage together in a interesting way. thankyou.
