Hello, i have a O´neill Hyperfreak 4/3 zipperless. As far as i can tell this Oneill Technobutter 3X Neopren is most flexible ever experienced. How does new E6 compare to it? Aloha Rasmus.

I have not tried the Oneill suits in a year or two but their suits are next level material too.

Just got this wetsuit.. after watching video and doing research.. I’m in love w it So light. Very stretchy.. easy to get in and out of 5’9 165 Lb I got the large and it’s probably a bit long but I like it gives more room in shoulders I was using other well known brands before snd they really don’t compare I’m hooked on ripcurl Got the 5/4 hooded dawn patrol too Fn Love it never been so warm n toasty in NJ Actually too hot.. ( in 50 degree water and sunny out ) Thanks for the review

Im thinking about buying the 5/4 hooded dawn patrol for trips up north, santa cruz, etc. Its such a good deal I was curious as to how its holding up. I know dawn ps are more of their budgets friendly line.

Hi Nole, how long do you keep your wetsuits for? Be good if you can do updates on warmth and durability in 6 months time or longer on your older wetsuits also. Thanks

Great review. Is the hood annoying when you have it pulled down?
@surfnshowreviews7777
@surfnshowreviews7777 3 жыл бұрын
Not at all... I surf with it down most of the time. I usually wear the hood for the first hour when the sun is first coming up and heavy offshore winds.

Great content noel! Ebomb 4/3 vs xcel comp or drylok 4/3? Warmth, manoeuvrability. Hopefully I can ask for a comparison on the hyper freak review in the future. 😁😁 ❤️❤️🍻

Dry Lock is the warmest of the 3 suits you mentioned. However it’s also heavier and stiffer. The Xcel Comp is warmer compared to the E-Bomb but a little less flexible. The E-Bomb is lighter and more flexible and with the built in hood is pretty warm. If I lived on the east coast like Jersey I would wear something super warm like the Dry Lock with built in hood, but here in So Cal the E-Bomb with hoodie is perfect

Which board is the best groveler for performance? Phoenix, Puddle Jumper HP, Dwart Too or The Gremlin? Keep it ripping!

I have a couple Phoenix boards on order but I have no answer on that one or the Dwart 2. I like the Gremlin better than the PJHP

Thanks for the video. Quick question: When you take off the hoodie, does water get inside your wetsuit?
@surfnshowreviews7777
@surfnshowreviews7777 3 жыл бұрын
No water getting in. I cinch down the hoody when I pull it down and it keeps out the water.

I have the 3/2 E6 for the summer and definitely will be getting the 4/3 hooded for next fall(when water gets too cold for the 3/2 where we surf). Most comfortable suit I've ever had on. I will say the seem tape on the inside of the suit have ripped off in a few spots, but probably because of trying to get the suit on while being a little sweaty on the hotter days. Depending on how I like the 4/3, I think I will be getting the 5/4 to replace my billabong furnace carbon for the winter months up here in Canada. Another great review and reenforced my decision to get another rip curl 🤙🏼

Got my 3/2 E6 to surf most of the year in Portugal. Usually water temperature is around 18ºC during summer. Spring and Fall is around 15.5º - 16.5ºC . I manage to stay in the water for 3hours no problems at all. Now i'm wondering to buy a winter wetsuit since the average water temperature is around 14ºC .. I wonder if 4/3 E-Bomb is enough for that or if F-Bomb will be needed.

@@hbr9427 I wear my 3/2 when water temps are 14. As long as the air temp isn’t crazy cold. You’d be fine in a 4/3! Update I now have the e6 4/3 hooded and it’s decent. Seems already leaking in some spots though.. I’ll wear this suit down until water temps hit 6-8 degrees

@@bencarr605 thats good to hear. In that case I might go with E-Bomb so i can wear it during the rest of the year as my second wetsuit without compromising much of the flexibility. Thanks a lot for the feedback

would you say ripcurl comes in a little smaller that other brands? you often wear size MS right? I often had size M but consider MT because with 182cm hight and 78kg the chart puts me in that size. Any suggestion? thanks!

The Rip Curl Suits fit me perfectly. Their E6 and E7 rubber is super flexible so it offers good fitting for me and I think it would fit good if I were 5’10” too

Do you tend to stick to reviewing newer model boards? Have you ever considered reviewing some boards by PANDA? Would love to see you on the dolly dagger model. Its an older model but It’s a performance 2 + 1 and the perfect california board in my opinion. Even comes in a twinzer, feel like you’d have a blast on it. She’s my go to in HB/newport.

I tried e bomb today (i will return it)- bad wetsuit water are sipping through the neck easily to the back and chest area and the legs area is easily coming up and water will get inside as well - overall bad product bad design (also it’s itchy in the mid section where the wetsuit split ) not the brand nor product for me.

All new suits are awesome till it's not. My $420 flashbomb got cold water leaks after only 2 months. The quality of Rip Curl is just not the same anymore and the online customer service is terrible. After being a loyal customer for 10+ year, I'm moving on...

Rip Curl westuits are the worst quality of all time. Won't last you longer than a month before complete breakdown. Take my word I’ve had many. There is a reason the have a great replacement policy cause they are garbage.

Sorry, the way you tread a suit is all the difference. Actually most all high flex neoprene is produced by same company, Sheiko. And most company also produce in the same factories. Means craftmanship is nearly all the same too. What Rip Curl does ist using very flexible jersey laminates, meaning you have to be extra carfully handling these suits, if you don´t you pull holes and seams. This might lead you to think of crap quality, but its not. By the way do not piss inside or hang it to dry in sunlight, if you do this, no wonder you desintegrate your suit.

@@rasmuszaurins7233 Sheiko does do proprietary rubber for different companies. For example the E rubber Rip Curl uses is only available to them as per their deal with Sheiko. Of course the other companies get Sheiko to make their own as well, but there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Sheiko's a good company with a long history of designing great rubber.
