Somewhere in heaven there is one bodacious band playing with Gerry, Mel, Nokie, and Bob. Thanks guys for all that you gave us! Gerry, you were a class act, and you are missed by so many.
There are times in your life when special people touch our life. Gerry McGee and Nokie Edwards were two. Without these two masters I probably would not have taken up guitar. The band that launched a thousand bands is so underrated. These two will be missed.

Gerry, thank you for all the years of wonderful music you gave us and the refreshing smiles you gave to the whole world. Your love of music and people will always be appreciated. You were one of the reasons I loved The Ventures and why I picked up the guitar. You have done well my friend and you gave so much to the world of music and provided inspiration for future young guitarists. Now, go and rest in peace knowing you fulfilled your journey in life. You will always hold a very special place in the hearts of all the musicians you inspired and the listeners of great music. The Ventures Are Forever ! Rest in Peace and God Bless.

Gerry is now in the great company of Venture band mates...Mel Taylor...Bob Bogle...& Nokie Edwards that have passed away...he was great guitarist...person that had a God given talent that will live on among his fans with videos & recordings of his performances ...praying for his Family now & in the days ahead...thank you Gerry...RIP!!!
Asa member of the Ventures, Gerry inspired many to learn guitar, was an ambassador to other countries where their music knew no language barriers, and now joins Mel, Nokie, and Bob. He will surely be missed.

Find this video just incidentally right now. Did not know his passing away till I opened this one. With this sudden unforeseen tragic news I'm completely struck with astonishment and deep sorrow. Gerry's contribution to creating songs for Japanese audiences such as Ginza Light and so on was so great. R.I.P. Gerry. AND thanks indeed for this uploading. from a long time Ventrures fan in Japan.
