I love the setting here, a tiny place to play, it looks like it might be a leisure centre or something. EDIT. I've learned since that they had to play in there because of the rain outside but this remains a favourite not least because the acoustics were so good in there.

Hi--this is in fact the hotel lobby of the Asbury in Asbury Park. The atrium-style windows afforded a lot of light on the band and the acoustics were much better than could be expected for so many hard surfaces & I caught some great surround sound. Enjoy!

I think that they sound like this every time they play. It's just that the acoustics at this venue were such that the humble mobile phone had a better chance of a decent recording.

Hi Nigel--thanks for the comment: I was in fact standing on an apple box at the ONLY space available on the floor, so I caught a lot of heads! I am shooting with a Canon Vixia with a surround sound mic & I am liking the audio results myself. Try this through your video system for that immersive sound.

I would encourage them to actually listen to and study the original versions of the "covers " they're doing so they can refine their renditions. it could be very useful to them.
