2022 marks an important milestone in our commitment to fighting pollution and protecting the environment, especially the oceans. We are proud to announce the signing of a partnership between Akewatu and SurfRider Foundation Europe + Australia. and SFAU. By committing to donate 5% of our sales to SFE and SFAU we are taking another step forward in our vision of a surf industry that is more environmentally friendly and closer to the values of our sport.
Beyond this financial participation, our commitment goes hand in hand with the values we have in common
education of the surfing community through awareness days,
actions on the ground such as regular beach clean-ups (as a reminder, 8 million tons of waste are thrown into the oceans each year, 80% of which is plastic),
the study of chemical pollution of the waters
