@@SurfRinseRepeat And all for a 3-4 second ride. Much of the OB experience is negotiating just being out, hunting down a peak, and catching it. It's beautiful, exciting, and pretty crappy actual surfing.

Why such big boards?......firsr guy seems like he is on a shortboard.....open ocean wave I know but doesn't seem that big out there.....maybe currents are strong, idk

I surfed there for decades. The longshore current is almost always BRUTAL ... as in, you have to paddle hard nonstop just to (hopefully) stay in one place.
