The reason I train so hard is so I can "get after it when it's on". 50 years old and I can still put in 6 hours of surfing in a day.

I’m with you just a bit older at 64. Stretch every morning, listen to my body and still can surf long sessions

@@palesomim4306great advice. 56 and still going at it strong. Molding your workouts to what surfing demands, stretching correctly, and eating light and well. That will help. Oh yeah, not too much drinking helps

Man, dropping that chest during long paddle outs is legit! Portugal this autumn! Ever thought of a coaching trip in the region?

energy conservation, that's what it's all about! yeah we have actually. I've even thought about moving there! we may try and do a trip in 2024

I feel the same way. If i dont stretch and loosen up every morning, my body lets me know, especially my back. Being 40 also, i feel its more important than ever to take the time to find the time, to at least 10 mins of light morning movement

Same story with Bulging disc though understand your body is key to stop the pain and surf !

Can you do a video on opening eyes under the water like you did at 0:17 I can't imagine myself doing that. The water is just so salty it seems risky

Honestly, no video is needed. You just do it. There’s nothing more to it or anything that needs to be taught. Your eyes get used to it over time, and I only do it when I’m surfing clear water.

I don't get it, why would you come all the way here and not surf when there's waves - even if the next day is forecasted to be better?
