I don't know. In the early eighties I could buy a blackface amp any day of the week for under $400 and an L series Jazmmaster for $500. No one wanted them.

I love my surfybear but I would much rather have a real unit. everything is more varied now and they all have a cheap alternative but the real thing is even harder to get. nobody needs anything more than a nice tube vintage amp, reverb unit and a fender guitar to create beautiful and unique music. Now everyone has everything but there is no creativity and soul.

Excellent tones! Your playing is so well grounded in roots music...blues, surf, rockabilly, etc. That foundation is so key to the great feel you have in your rock/hard-rock playing...I guess I'm a fan RJ! :) Another great demo!

I have a hand built (by me) three-tube , three-knob, 6G15 circuit, with 6K6 driver and a long-spring reverb tank, installed in my 1966 Fender Showman where channel one used to be. It's my main amp, and its tone is (to me) equal or superior to any 6G15/Fender combination I have ever used. But hearing this unit in action makes me want one, to use with my stock 1965 Showman, my 1964 Bandmaster, and pretty much anywhere else I can justify it. I fully intend to get one of these at some point; the sound is absolutely faithful to the original. My hat is off to the designer of this unit!!!

Thank you for the presentation of these excellent effects. It's crazy, you are able to play so different styles with always so much ease but above all feels! From the most modern jazz to the most sharp rock ... in this case you play the surf better than many "specialized" guitarists (and who take a lot seriously!). We still see that you listened to it a lot and it is perfectly in the mind. It reminds me of the fabulous Rockabilly concert by Jeff Beck, who nevertheless explored the guitar in all directions! Yes, a big thank you Mate!

@itchyvinyl 3 жыл бұрын
@@jackwavell I didn’t because there is no 100% wet setting. If you can find a “Real Tube Spring Reverb” that’s a great unit for outboard DAW use. They’re a little pricey when they pop up. And the verb is a lot smoother than an amp verb. Somewhere between a spring and a plate.
