Usefull tip In phase 2, when he's on the ceiling and fires nano mass on the groud, you can target and destroy them...doing so he won't be able to use them to recharge his Hp I discoverd this today after the 50th attempt 🤣 Anyway phase 3 is a joke compared to phase 2...

well technically he can kill himself in this phase, because he also loses hp when he uses the attack...

With the second phase, i find the hammers to be pretty good. I get close to the wall and wait for that charge attack. Then i dodge it and charge up the heavy R2 attack while targeting it's back legs which makes me do the massive jump and slam attack. Knocks it down as well, which let's me hit it a few more times. I don't even need to parry the boss.

Okay i just checked the Wiki - Helix of the Delver V2.0 can be found by killing Delver after breaking its armor in phase 3. It does not matter if it regains the armor. Break the armor located on the legs and arms at least once each before you down it. Two front legs can be broken in phase 2 and the breaking does not need to be repeated in phase 3.

This is such a good boss. One of the funnest boss encounters I've had in awhile. Wasn't using parry till I got to this guy, but he seems to be designed around the mechanic. No dmg 3rd phase thanks to this guide.

Brad King a good boss has great challenging movements that really make you work hard to defeat it, Delvers attack 90% of the time in phase 2 leaving you no windows to attack so you constantly have to trade hits and barely get a second to collect yourself Each Delver I killed left me disappointed and bored which sums up every boss in the entire game

@@drifterax7731 there are plenty of opportunities in the 2nd phase to attack the delver it's even shown in the video. I get what you mean it can be frustrating but that's what I liked about it. I never even parried before the first delver fight because I never really had to but I learned to parry in the first delver fight to the point it actually made me perfect it and made me enjoy the game more and made me feel damn near unstoppable.

Brad King his openings for attacks in phase two are shorter than most weapon animations meaning he often gets a hit on you after you hit unless you perfectly time his short windows or be forced to learn parrying which not everyone likes doing :/ all 4 Delver fights are just not enjoyable and every time I saw one I was like “oh boy more copy and paste of the same badly written boss..”

Thought video is old-ish by 2 years it was still helpful I almost had it by 1 bar left to deal with but in the end the game crashed on me but besides that is helping me learn blocking mechanic of the game cause I was more for dodging in games like this but this boss is getting me to understand blocking besides all that your guide was helpful.

for what its worth I broke both his arms in phase 2 and then broke his head in phase 3 with a drone and did not get the version 2 of the weapon.

Alex G you need to break the arms and legs atleast once. Head isn’t part of it with any consistency atleast. I’ve done it a few times now and have received it for sure when breaking pink Armor on each arm and each leg.

I don't know why, but for me this is the hardest boss of the whole game. I even had an easier time with the final boss. Could be because I'm using light build, so my parrying aren't that good compared to medium or heavy armor

the final boss overall is a joke. You face teh delver way earlier in the game, and his second phase is the worst nightmare in a souls-like game: a fast enemy that doesn't have safe openings that you can exploit. The Echo delver alpha is even nastier at this.

@@darkdestructer Still the worst kind of enemy you can face in such a game... doubt you could argue with that :) Delver alpha gets so bad it's even hard just to be close to it where there is one of it's less than half a second long opening. It's still doable, but I'd bring as much healing as you can... and don't even bother with combos.

Destroy his pink Armor on his arms and legs atleast once during phase 2 (arms)and 3(arms and legs). Head not necessary. This boss gives me sekiro vibes. Which is cool because from soft and deck 13 were working on these games at the same time generally speaking. (Think that giraffe thing, I forget his name)

The giraffe in sekiro is legit a pure rhythm test. Killing him in about 10seconds if u get the rhythm. Delver is a hardcore hit and run boss tho lol

you missunderstood those redparts , its a booster part , you dont need a full loaded attack to do dmg on this stuff , its just a hint , if you dont crash red parts boss /enemies will boost themselfe ,,,remember the blue drug at the start which make mobs enrage ,,,or the invisible hunter , destroy there redpart and no invisible bullshit anymore , goes even for delver the hunterboss

Doing this in NG+ and can't destroy his torso in phase without killing, and I haven't even touched the legs...not sure how to complete this without overkill. (PS: Did it barely, finished off the head on the last hit, but the left leg healed before i was done, made it very confusing.)

My only issue so far is that the surge 2 has legit WORSE graphics in 2021 than surge 1. On ps4 atleast. Textures loading in after 3-4 seconds everywhere. Simply by swapping through 3 weapons my sword looks like pixelated something for 3seconds every time. Huge FPS drops aswell. feels like a ps3 engine tbh. That's really rough and I heard the complaints on release. even after 5 or more patches it's still very strongly noticeable

cervantes doesn't have a 2.0 weapon, however you have to choose between 2 of them: cutting the right arm gives you the blade, but cutting the left leg nets you a drone shotgun.

lol i have way better technique^^ with nightfallen amour( you can buy) you heal, with some healing implantats, and recovering energie implantats+ plus you beat him permanent, it heals up more than he can make damage, even with nanodammage, some time you move away from him when he is in the 3. phase of fight^^

he describes how you get the V2 version of the boss, you offer no technique at all, rather brag about grabbing an armor that is impossible to have at this point. Energy gain is also different on every weapon. You just tell ppl to use healing implants like wtf should we play without?

this is the first battle that you need to actually learn to parry and parry the attacks, especially for the 2nd phase. The 2nd phase is the nasty one. There's no other simple way than to parry.

@@AverageCatToyEnjoyer little johnny is tedious, no denying that.. the delver you can be agressive as hitting it isn't the issue. The fact you decided to go at it slowly and carefully rather than gettign good enough to stick close to it, parry it and manage not getting hit is your own choice here, not a fault of the game. Hell, quite a few dark Souls bosses had the same thing going on with very little opportunities to get in hits making them hard. That, and the basic delver is a long fight mainly because of the 3 phases, but the fact it's moveset changes completely makes it more like a boss marathon than a very long single boss fight like Little Johnny. I'm curious btw, if you don't think that teh delver echo alpha is the hardest boss of the game.. what would that be for you?
