One important thing to keep in mind with surge's hyper is that you don't need to use the super to have your shots split‚ the super only gives you the extra range‚ so sometimes it can actually be better to just activate hyper and not super so that you can get the most value out of your split shots against opponents that are closer to you‚ like against that buzz‚ where the additional range was actually detrimental

Btw, with the hypercharge, you dont actually need to super to get the split shots. So if you have level 4, you can just pop hyper and instantly have the split shots, just with less range Not using super also gives you more hypercharge time, since your not wasting any time by supering

As a Surge main myself, I think that surge's hypercharge is kinda disappointing, because that split attack should be in its base kit, i don't think that its fair that the new mouse have that attack, spike have something similar while surge dosen't, and its hypercharhe should be at least that he gets as big as he is in some of those trailers, and at least recieve a bigger speed and damage buff

What they can do for the teaming is in showdown everyone has a 5 tile radius ring around them that does max health percentage damage to nearby enemies (every brawler will die in 15 seconds if not healed) that doesn't go through walls, ik it wil make brawlers like edgar better but i think that i will be better for it. It will also make people more aggressive end game where there is no more space from the gas, to try to get the win

So the hc still splits the atacks without using the super, wich in some cases is good, like this map you played in, the midle is pretty close wich using the more range is bad, so you would like more using the hc and not using the super, wich to me is super good.
