Exactly. I don't understand why doctors write every little thing off as some common pain. This was MAJOR pain, and she was experiencing it daily. When I found out I needed three surgeries I was livid, I had always been told what I had was "growing pain" and just lived with it. Haha, surprise, my hips weren't formed correctly and I needed my bones CUT 🤦🏽♀️. I'm so happy Mal got the help she deserved

@@TsunamiKitten56 Arrrgh, so frustrating isn't it? I'm sorry you went through all that. A few years ago my mum started complaining of major stomach pains, and for SIX MONTHS she was told time and again to take various medications and it would go away. It didn't, it got worse and worse, until finally I had to call an ambulance one day and then only after a *SECOND* hospital trip did they finally diagnose what was going on - a fibroid growth, which because they'd taken so long had grown to the size of A LARGE BABY. She had to have major surgery, and thankfully though she's all good now - this was six years ago - it was still absolutely horrible for her and for us being so powerless and seeing her in so much pain.

Knowing _now_ how well it went, how Mal's recovery is going-it makes it a little easier to watch this. @Shiny_Misty3 жыл бұрын
I am so happy for Mal. I am so glad she is doing well and I am glad it was a success. I am just so relieved. Also, the reason why you wanted to cry after leaving the hospital, even though you knew she was safe and in good hands, is because of all those emotions that balled up within you. Not just worry and panic, but EVERYTHING. Stress over everything that had been going down for the last few days leading up to this, sadness that your wife is in pain, pure happiness because your wife's surgery was a success, sadness again that you are leaving her for the night but happy that she was, and is, cared for. Like you said, your body is having some serious decompression of emotions. Trying to collect everything that is going on. It is normal. And the reason why you feel the need to cry is because that is a way that your body releases all these emotions all inside of you. Emotions that were compressed because your brain was telling you to stay calm and at ease for Mal.

Stephen, I know this isn't the same situation, but I wanted to tell you about my experiences with my husband having surgery. He had a tonsillectomy and had his deviated septum repaired about four years ago. He had been suffering from incredibly bad sleep apnea for several years. It was to a point that he wasn't getting any restful sleep and he was constantly a zombie. It was so hard to watch him have such a diminished quality of life because he couldn't get any rest. We finally got a doctor to listen. The ENT specialist we spoke to said my husband had one of the highest levels of sleep apnea that she had ever seen and that he needed surgery. I remember sitting in the car at the hospital getting ready to go home after surgery day was done (he was staying overnight for observation). I was so glad that surgery went well and that he got the help he needed. But all the emotions flooded over me and I just sobbed. I sobbed watching this vlog because I remember having those feelings. Sending good vibes to both of you!

Good vibes to you both. You are courageous for documenting this whole process and letting us in on this private part of your lives. I understand that “decompression” you felt after leaving, my partner was in the hospital for a month after a car accident and he had to get two surgeries. I’d be at the hospital for a few hours after work and would cry on the drive home since it was a lot of emotional and physical energy to support him and then leave. He’s fully recovered fortunately and we’re closer than ever. Im so happy Mal’s recovery is going smoothly! To better and healthier days.

For some reason, this video is very calming to me. I'm glad the surgery went well and that an achey recovery is ahead - I find that it can be really relaxing and therapeutic sometimes. I watched this video while being hit with my first day of my cycle, which has left me severally emotional. There was a time last year that I could not leave my bed due to pain. After looking into Endo I want to consider it, as eventually birth control fades away, as it does now with this horrid brain fog and depression. I hope everyone can heal from these terrible things we experience. Im really happy that Mal can heal now and experience life better, and I hope so many more of us can too soon.

I feel what you said in the car I had a really awful year in 2011-2012 I moved away from home because my parents pushed me to study law because they've always seen me as lazy and useless, and all i ever did was try to earn their love/pride by doing what they suggested. In 2011, i hit a point so low, I never left my flat, slept 15-18 hours a day and started having constant bowel issues. In 2015 i ended up in hospital with still the same bowel stuff, having lost more than 60 pounds and a good bunch of my hair. Everybody said it was nothing, turns out it was raging gastroenteritis. After that I developed constant worrying because if there ever wasn't a bathroom close I'd panic, let like 3 more years just pass by because i got panic attacks for no reason. A friend witnessed one one night on a train when i was suddenly convinced the train was derailing. She took me to a therapist and they were like "girl pls, pls, we do therapy and you take escitalopram now." And after that appointment i had the decompression of my life, man... i just cried because I realised that for one, this wasn't something that everyone had (i had thought everyone felt like this and I just sucked at coping) and secondly, I wasn't imagining things and there was help Man Long comment, but i feel you
