Surgery Vlog - I had Stoma Surgery - Elective Ileostomy I Ostomy

Hi, my names Beth I have suffered from Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) for the last 7 years going from mild to severe.
I did not inherit this illness, I unknowingly broke my immune system one day. I did not know how bad my guts were damaged, as many doctor's told me it was mild IBS. I watched my life seemingly slip away from me, struggling daily and was repeatedly dismissed by doctor's.
3 years of fighting I finally got referred to GI at my local hospital. I feel very blessed to have the GI consultants I have, the IBD Nurses who got me to this point. 2 more years of failed medications I made the decision to have surgery to take back my life.
I also want to thank the massively skill Surgeons and Stoma Nurses at hospital who did an amazing job on my guts, incisions and recovery.
I wanted to share my journey with you whilst I rebuild my life. I hope to make my art my career one day and this channel is to document that process, the pretty and the ugly.
