This is a great explanation of this complex organ. I've been thinking about going into Cardiac Surgery but I hear it's hard to get into because there's so much to know and understand along with instruments. With this information it really helps connect some of the surgeries with anatomy together, giving a true S.T. understanding. Thank you for taking this time to explain it with the photos that brings it all together.

I have questions that I would like a cardiologist or cardiac surgeon to answer but I don’t know where to go to ask so if somebody can answer my questions that would be nice When doing an open heart surgery or when dealing with a heart mummer how are the stitches placed so that they don’t come out while the heart pumps? What is need to complete med school? What is the most important thing I will have to learn to do heart surgery? What happens while when you’re doing a surgery and ur patient heart crashes while it’s open? Is it true that you freeze the heart while doing an open heart surgery? Thank you😅

i wonder how the catheter valve stays exactly where its supposed to stay? Especially if its not sutured in place

Good question. My understanding is that the outside of the valve is rough enough, that when it deploys, the spring-action of the metal coil puts enough pressure on the surrounding tissue to hold it in place. The body then rapidly grows new tissue around it to secure it even better. But I believe that if not set properly, they can shift a little. Probably not much because with that spring-action, it will eventually catch on something.

Can you give pointers in getting a job in ST. After graduating years ago, no offers. Now I have tried and tried, still no offers. They do not want to train anyone

Do you have a current CST certification? If not, that might be the reason, as many states, and many hospitals require this. If you do, I recommend looking for a job in a state that requires the CST certification. Hospitals in these states are always looking for new certified CSTs.

good cardia cells , myocardium , electro physiology & pathologies of valves & Coronary arteries # there are Beta adrenergic receptors on the entire cardiac cells & the adrenergic nerve which supply its fibers to the entire cells & when these fibers secrete adrenalin it increases heart rate through Na + K + & Ca + ionic exchange across cardic cell membrane & opposite occurs when Cholineric fibers secrete acetylcholine # 👍🇵🇰
