I learned more in the first 5 minutes than my entire lectures back in the day. I had terrible teachers. Thanks doc for this lecture.

A great tutorial on sutures.I really loved the way you teach sir.I was rather mesmerized by your lecture and wished it never ended. You are a great teacher who really knows well how to communicate with his audience in an easy-to-understand way. I have a suggestion to make though. At the very last end of your tutorial you talked about needles. In my opinion, if you had shown the real needles and showed them by zooming in on them ,it would have been better.Keep up the great work, sir.

When you hire someone for a job, one usually asks for experience and skill. Medicine is an ancient art that the "experiences" learned over those hundreds of years are being recorded in various forms of literary material in an attempt not to repeat the mistakes done in the past as the science and art of medicine (a dynamic science) is being learned and developed. Learning all of those experiences is one of the challenges in Medical School - to teach them in just a couple of years. Then an exam is given to test how much these medical students have learned. So if you are sick, will you go to a hospital where you are assured that the doctors treating you are qualified for the job or go to some place where the "doctors" qualifacations is questionable? YOUR CHOICE AND GOOD LUCK! Hope your in good health!

Not an educator but, i see instructors rushing the lectures because of time constraints. Too many information and details to fit in a time limited schedule making them skip “less important” topics and converting them into assignments 😂. I’m thankful for these videos as they explain things in detail.

Thanks sir for your very specific and informative lecture like for example wound bacteria clings to multifilaments sutures due its braided strands than monofilament sutures and the suture memory of monofilament sutures I think it has medical rationale like coming from animal gut for plain gut and chromic gut, my opinion only sir. The way you explained the contents of lecture was like you really care that your audience learn your lecture by explaining thoroughly.

Hey Doc. Thanks for a great presentation. I'm a lay persons learning about sutures as I had rotator cuff repair surgery last year using multifilament non absorbable synthetic suture. Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene suture. I've learned this is a common suture material in orthopaedics. Just still struggling to understand how a suture can remain inside the human body for life and never break down. Can you help me with this query? Thank you.
