Today is one of the gloomiest day for Punjabi folk music as the incredible Surinder Shindha Ji has passed away. Truly one of the greatest to ever touch the mic. There can be no other person in this world to ever sing his greatest songs like, Jatt Mirza Kharlan Da, Yaaran Di Vadhe Dosti, Badla Le Lei Sohniya, Sassi, and countless others, the way he blessed those songs. From his great discography, to his outstanding movies, it was obvious that he was the greatest. I remember I just listened to his debut LP “Naina De Vanjare” earlier today, and even after listening to this fantastic album for a great amount of times, it still leaves me amazed and more appreciative of it than the last time I listened to it. Many singers come and go, but this legendary voice will always stay ਅਮਰ throughout time. May god bless his soul.

ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਛਿੰਦਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਸੀ ਕੇ ਇਹ 85 ਜਾਂ 90 ਸਾਲ ਉਮਰ ਭੋਗ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, 20 -25 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੋਇਆ।
