Hi Bill what wire are you using with these and where you are sourcing it?

This is from Amazon - EWCS 2/0 "Premium Extra Flexible Welding Cable" - costs about $5-$10/foot depending on how much you get. You'll also want to get a 10+ ton hydraulic crimper. I got a 16 ton from Amazon for about $60.

Great info but if you can get cables and connectors off a leccy car it's way cheaper. Usually the cable will be shielded too.

For sure! In my build I used all of the cables and connectors that I got from the donor EV - even extending them in a couple of cases. However, since I split my battery pack between 4 sub packs, I needed some additional wires and connectors between them all.

I was so excited to have these connectors on my VW Beetle conversion and made 2 stupid mistakes. 1) I neglected to put the collar on before crimping, 2) I crimped… but cannot get the hydraulic crimped off since my 2/0 cables are already run. So frustrating that I will need to trash the connector ($30 mistake) but how will I be able to crimp a new one?? So frustrating.

My crimper has a little bolt on top that lets me remove the top crimper pad (also used to change crimper sizes). Undoing that means I can remove the crimp from the tool. Does yours have that?

The rear one is fully enclosed, the front packs will be sealed up the next time I pull them. Probably when I install the cooling system. All the panels are ready to install.

Hi I was having a question if I use a without keyway 90° connector and with keyway type receptacle will they mate?

I'm not completely sure, since I don't have any of the non-keyway versions to compare, but I believe a non-keyway will work with anything else. I'm guessing this is why you can't get a non-keyway version of the high voltage or EMI-shielded connectors.

@@BillCarlson So I have check different photo online actually the rotatable keyway hole of receptacle is an extra attachment that come only with w keyway receptacle which make it thickness greater than w/o keyway receptacle So i think for my above question it might not connect
