My E28 is on the ground and ready for the often previously neglected visual details. We build a bash bar support and brackets for the fiberglass euro bumper, and lose our fingernails polishing some... Pontiac wheels.

That hood badge makes all the difference. First upgrade I did when I bought my e28 15 years ago. I think the car was actually faster with the new one.

Good content brother. What spring rates are on the GCs and how is the ride on those 16?

Thanks man, running 430 front and 315lb rear, and at the height I have it it’s firm but not terribly shocking, though bump steer and heavy compression dont get treated super well. A lowered E28 crutch it seems, but regardless still very fun to drive.

sweet video man. just a tip, youre running your welder too cold. tbh with MIG on steel as long as its got something of a bead its probably bonded but crank the heat up or the wire feed down and you should get a much nicer and stronger weld thjat looks more like a chamfer rather than a dome

Appreciate the tip! This was my first or second time, and luckily felt like it wasnt going to be the highest stressed part- lots more practice to do before something a bit more serious. ✌🏼

What type of wheels did you say those were?
@SamHurly3 жыл бұрын
Theyre Pontiac GTA wheels, though just the et16 ones, as they normally come as a set with two et0 and two et16

I think you should have polished them before power coating
@SamHurly3 жыл бұрын
I also think I shouldnt have allowed them to sandblast the lips but did. Could have been able to be less careful with keeping the powdercoat un-scratched but in the end wasn’t hard and was the same amount of work regardless of order- all good

@@jaimediez7750 I think the 90mm but not sure and my invoice doesnt list it, would have to measure- just ordered to have extra length for spacers!
