Anything less than 1 would just be stupid though. All the stats would get smaller, so you turn almost every weapon into stock with nothing wacky. At x0.1 a 20% damage bonus becomes 2%, 30% fire speed penalty becomes 3%, etc.

Subtracting would be nothing weird either, and if you subtracted too much everything would just have negative stats and it would be terrible. What might be interesting is a * -1, which would invert all of the stats. Again nothing crazy here, but it would be more interesting than the other suggestions. You'd get a lot of just plain stupid weapons; like how the direct hit would become a weak and incredibly slow moving rocket but one that has a very large blast radius. Some would get interesting though. The brass beast would become weaker than stock, but spin up stupidly fast and let you move really fast with it spun up, probably faster than heavy can walk normally.

Stock Knife Speeds: x10 Mach1, x20 Mach 2, x50 Mach 5, x100 Mach 10, x1000 Mach 100, x2000 Mach 200. Facts: Mach 5 is maximum speed that anyone can handle without passing out. Mach 7 is maximum speed skilled pilots can stand with out passing out. At Mach 8 everything that can be shattered has been shattered and all of your organs are outside of your body. At Mach 9 it is the same for the skilled pilots.In other words the force of the knife and the speed of the spies arm will most likely create a black hole in TF2 x1000. In other words the spy will die using his knife immediately. Creating a black hole killing everyone instantly. Also you just read this. Normal weapons speeds are maybe 10- 20 ft per second or minute. In total swing distance. I am not an mathematician or a scientist. Most of this information is an estimation. For example the weapon swinging distance was an estimation along with the black hole information and Mach speeds. It is all still a possibility. Why did you just read all this?
