Right now he does rival the wizard king, with the new death thrust, i doubt anyone can win against yami in a 1 on 1 after creating that spell. He only got captured because he let his gaurd down, he would've butchered the bone guy

The bond yami has with his squadmates is on a deeper level than that of the other captains with their squads. This is because all the black bulls were once outsiders, criminals and discarded by the society just like yami was in his youth, which is why he understands how they feel. He wanted to create a home for such people and now truly cares for them and willing to go to any lengths to protect them. This is beautiful, luv you Yami❤️
