You really think so imaginatively. Brilliant edgings and designs have me wanting to try most. I will use a length of the continuous cable knit for a cone 🎄 tree for a 🎁 this Dec.2021.

Except it is very smart, it is as well rather less laborious way how to do a patchwork knitted blanket and join some if those squares with those lovely cables. Due different number of lines there is a plenty of variety. Hihi seems I need to get into my stash and start knitting. Thank you very much.❤

Love this join. Thinking of using it on a knitted sock hat for part of the vertical join of selvedges.

That's an interesting idea. I think if you stay above the part in the shoe, it'll work and it would also allow you to add some width to a sock calf. Send a picture when you finish!

I was wondering what this would look like as an edging… I joined two panels together (5 rows) and I like it! Next time I will knit a faux rib (4 in work, 1 out, 3 in…..ending with 4 in, like you show in another video) beginning and ending to match the panels. Or maybe just plain knit with only one needle out of work…must play around to try this. I’m not so good on that rib when ending the panel as I am when starting. But do you think this surprise cable will look frilly when used as an edging? I’m still not experienced enough to be able to picture what will happen.

I suppose you could use it as an edging if you had an edge piece to pick up, maybe a cord. I have not tried it; not sure it would work. It has a thick texture. It seems like a fair amount of extra work to make an edge piece as well as doing this join for an edging.

I think you could do it by having the panels to join made first. Then stick your needle into the stitch to knit as well as the loop of the panel, knit off, then do the next, etc.
