Merry Christmas, Little Wars TV, and thank you for the present and all that you've done. At our club we play Blücher quite a bit, and the consensus is that making an attacking breakthrough is difficult (and thus playing to gain position or territory is not rewarded). I'd be interested if you have any view about how this could be fixed. Otherwise the rule-system is considered 'elegant'.

We agree. Attacking is very, very punishing. The only game mechanic we like to “house rule” here is eliminating the garrison bonus for built up areas (unless it’s an actual fort). This modifier makes towns impregnable in the game. The real “fix” for the difficulty attacking is in your scenario design. Attackers in this game need some scenario help to balance it out
