I don't know where DCI is headed next. It's a scary thought. It won't be the same. SCV...gone. Cadets...gone. Blue Devils ruined DCI. I have tears for that. I marched as horn captain, soloist and 1st soprano from 1990-1995 in a small Midwestern corps. I. Am. Afraid.

SCV is set to come back in 2024 & Cadets are only gone for 2024. But yeah, I do agree that the current financial direction DCI is heading isn't sustainable the way it is. If it stays like this, I could absolutely see a top 12 corps completely folding within the next 10 - 20 years

Dan Acheson retired after 27 years as (president?) of drum corps. He previously participated in the Madison Scouts, thus the emotional tribute from them👍
