I knew this gambit wasn't just my imagination 😮 I remember watching this video and couldn't remember the gambit lol after one year it still works. I'm amazed your gambits haven't penetrated the community more! More wins for me 😈

I know this as the Englund Gambit. The only time I played against it I went 3 Bf4, which is rather annoying for Black. I think taking in d6 is too greedy. Your collection of gambits is amazing though, and the examples are really funny and instructive. Thanks!
@adamiskosach Жыл бұрын
I'm glad you like it! Yes Bf4 is indeed annoying and it's probably the reason why I abandoned this gambit and moved to the Bogoljubov defense against 1.d4 :)

Bro this is what I was talking about in my previous comment on the video titled “Play thid against Scandinavian Defense”. I’ve been playing it for quite a while and this has bern covered on Remote Chess Academy channel as well. Great to see you covered this tactical defense.

against the setup where they play e4 I just play Bxf3 Bxf3 Bf4, white bishop is pinned to the queen and attacked twice, only move to save it is Ng1 but most people play Nd5 and that just blunders the knight as the pawn is pinned 😂
@adamiskosach4 ай бұрын
Ah I see, nice one. The best move for white is to give up the queen and nobody is gonna play that (if we are looking at the same variation)
@prplt4 ай бұрын
@@adamiskosach yeah also if Ng1 Nf6 and if 0-0 Rxd2 Nxd2 Rd8 you are now pinning the knight to the queen and winning 2 pieces for the rook
@yrtepgold2 жыл бұрын
Whenever I play 1)d4 and run into 1)... e5 I will accept the pawn. Then when I'm offered another, I play 3) Nc3. That will usually throw a wrench into things for Black and I'm usually able to get the win.
@adamiskosach2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's definitely annoying for black

Because you seem to come up with weird gambits, what do you think of the evans gambit in the Italian and the benko gambit in the Benoni
@adamiskosach2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for a weird comment! I actually liked to play Evans gambit in the beginning of my chess explorations, but then my focus changed to other gambits, namely Nakhmanson, Urusov and Max Lange attack. And the Benko gambit, I don't really have any experience with, maybe I'll try it on the future.

Why would you capture knight first when you just outright win the queen
@adamiskosach Жыл бұрын
It is possible to go for the queen right away (evaluation is -2), but stronger is to eliminate the knight first (eval -4), because you force them to capture your darksquare bishop with the King leaving it awkward and open to attack. If your opponent would notice the threat of losing the queen after you captured that knight on f3 and they would try to move the queen for example to e1 to step away, the outcome position is going to be crushing for black with evaluation -10. Try messing around with the engine.

this gambit is def annoying to face if you dont know how to. this is why when i started playing d4 here and there i learned the correct way to handle it. nonetheless its great since most players dont know the correct response.

I found new gambit that you could analyse and find something. I named it Kaczuch Gambit (you pronounce it /ˈka'ʧ̑ux/ in IPA) (named after my nickname). It starts with 1. c4 e6 2. Nc3 b6 3. e4 Bb7 4. d4 Bb4 (easy to transpose to this position, like from french, 1.e4 e6 2.c4 b6 and so on, or horwitz defense, 1.d4 e6 2.c4 b6 and so forth) 5. Ne2!! Bxe4 6. a3 Bxc3+ 7. Nxc3 Bb7 (engin says that Bg6 is better but noone plays that) 8. Qg4, there are a lot of ideas like h4, h5, Nb5 or, because there is pawn on e6, d5. I hope you'll find something interesting here and promote it in your video.

@prussia92552 жыл бұрын
I think the Gandalf gambit video he made was the best it can get. There's also the steinitz gambit out of the Vienna which is 1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. f4 exf4 4. d4. Example line: 1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. f4 exf4 4. d4 Qh4+ 5. Ke2 d5 6. exd5 Bg4+ 7. Nf3 O-O-O 8. dxc6 Re8+ 9. Kd3 Bf5+ 10. Kc4 where there are 20+ lichess games. Granted most games won't go like this but it can happen.
