He doesn't seem to have a speech impediment. It is confidence and being in public or crowded settings that causes his reflex to withdraw into his shell. He is able to form and pronounce his words just fine. Once he feels safe enough and feels the courage to speak (up)

He’s got it. Some people are comfortable in certain situations, and what better way to speak than through the music. Everyone loves music, but to go up on stage... I have a hard time with or without liquid courage at kareoke. Mad respect and love for that kid

Actually EVERYONE that stutters can do this. Language comes from the left side of your brain, music the right side. Every person on earth that stutters can sing/rap without stuttering.
