my girlfriend is gonna be really excited about that white mage ability at about four minutes into the trailer. she's a long time WHM main and it's always bothered her how conjurer gets cool attacks for earth and wind but their water ability sucks

Fluid Aura ability used to be great when it had a knockback and dmg to go with the bind effect

@@Umega101 I hope they just make fluid aura an ogcd attack like before and remove the bind effect or maybe even rework it into a utility skill like how sch has chain strategem. Like chain strategem is for critical hits.. maybe fluid aura could just add a weaker vulnerability up debuff or maybe increase the chance to hit direct hits or something. Just anything other then what it is now... I'd even take deleting it over how it is now lol.

@@Fangrys People use bind abilities in PotD and HoH. It hurt Red Mages when they lost tether. Machinists still use their heavy and bind in there and they help a lot.

@@dataunknown that's fine.. but it's not a good enough reason to keep a skill like that when it has no use in like 95% of all content. Even if they add damage to it at least I think that would make it worth keeping. They've likely only kept it because of the lv15 cnj quest where it deals with the water element.

Because it's specifically a trailer for the Endwalker benchmark application that will be released tomorrow, rather than a trailer for the game proper.

Because it's the benchmark? You donwload it, create or import your existing character to it, and stress test your PC for the game.

As others have said, this will be a piece of Benchmark software for PC users, but they release the scenario it runs through as a teaser as well as it shows off new things - though any and all scenes in it tend to have no bearing on reality of what we might encounter in game as far as who is where and what is happening.

The benchmark program is designed to test how well your PC can run the expansion. That's why the trailer is so overcrowded with NPCs - it will make your computer render all of them individually to check if it slows down or anything. The benchmark will also include a character creator - so if you wanted to make a male viera, now you can! The benchmark releases July 11, 12am PDT.

Poor RDM. Unless I missed it by blinking, we got nothin' in there at all except the new Art gear which looks basically the same as all of the other Art gear. Even our scion rep basically just showed up to get kicked in the face. Boo. Cool trailer in general though

At 2:59 , i'm pretty sure it's a RDM spell. Or at least it feels really weird to focalize the RDM casting right before if it wasn't.

What these 2 said, also it might be interesting to note that that spell didn't have a 2nd instant casting spell right after, so maybe the new spell will not trigger the Dualcast trait in exchange for some other effect maybe?
