I can not believe it’s been almost a year since Esmeralda/Ezzy entered this world. It’s been a joy watching her grow to her 1st bday, along w/Ariel. When I was a kid in Girls Scouts, we went to Busch Gardens as a troop. The Budweiser Horses were still stabled there at the time and we got to see a 10 day old foal with his mother. Knowing how the crews care for those horses, I remember thinking the love that little guy's going to get as he grows to be part of a proud tradition.

See this is what breaks my heart about sale of these animals - Esmeralda has the benefit of being born into a loving environment and can trust completely- this is why she is so stable - she has nothing to fear and in no time at all Belle will be back and she gets to be with her mother - this is what horses need - they need that stability- I hate to see them passed around and ultimately becoming emotionally unstable- this is why I can’t watch auctions- they think, feel, have relationships too

You can really tell there’s a bond between you and Ezzy … and not just her but all your horses. They all feel loved and cherished, even if that horse isn’t going to be your forever horse! It’s a big part of why I love watching your channel. I first started watching you when you had Prince Charming (have I got his name correct?). It was before you knew the full extent of his health issues … but you were at the beginning of that journey. I don’t even think you had him all that long either (I’m not even sure it was a year). Most people wouldn’t have gone to the extent and length you did … no different than what you have done for Belle. Because of your relationship with that gelding and all that you did for him, I had garnered a lot of respect for you as a horsewoman. It’s such a beautiful sight to watch someone caring for horses the way you do with such a passion, love and total compassion for their well-being! The only thing i have a hard time with is seeing & knowing how much genuine love, affection & training your horses get.. but then they have to leave to go elsewehere where they won't get that devotion and compete trust they get w/ you. I have much similar issues but w/dogs.

That date is embellished in my memory. I have been fascinated and in love with Esmeralda since day one. It has been inspiring and beautiful to watch her growth, development from newborn, baby foal, to teenage filly, to yearling (2 more days) and still a teenage filly. It has been wonderful to watch your bond, trust and mutual love grow each day you share your activities and training with Ezzy. I get to peek into all your equine relationships, but this one excites me, perhaps the most, bc of all the reasons why it means so much to you, bc it is a first you are willing to share, bc I get to have a chance to see how this newborn and you both are going to grow together many more years and it keeps me going as a highlight in my life. I m growing, learning and experiencing this relationship vicariously. I love how Ezzy always wants to be first to get your attention and definitely tries to push Ariel away, her bestie, and tries to lead in front closest to you, if Beauty didn’t get to start first.
