A big surprise happened in the Philippines with the landing of an Antonov An-124 Ruslan cargo plane at Clark Air Base today. The giant aircraft was carrying two German-made TIGER attack helicopters ordered by the Philippine Army.
The Antonov An-124 Ruslan aircraft arrived at Clark Air Base with a special cargo of two Tiger attack helicopters belonging to the German Army. The helicopters were delivered as part of a military cooperation agreement between Germany and the Philippines. This cooperation aims to strengthen the Philippines' defense capabilities in facing various security challenges in the Southeast Asian region.

Look at the Huey, C-130, A-10, Bradley, Cobra, and other U.S. weapon systems, aren’t they old? It’s not just that because they’re old that you don’t got a use for them … it’s how you employ them effectively in times of war or peacetime. And some of it are transfers from foreign military sales FMS (direct govt to govt, no middle man - no corruption). We should be thankful from these govts that are friendly to the PH. Look on how the colonist fought the British forces during 1776 using regular hunting rifles, muskets, rakes, swords against the superior British canons and rifles…. didn’t America was able to declare independence from the Brits? Look on the Ukranians’ ingenuity use of its drones and Baytakvar weren’t it superior against the Russians? It is the will of its people to win the war no matter how obsolete na yung weapon systems. Kahit na yung aged F4G, the US still keeps them for a reason for its wild Weasel Program. My 2 centavos is up.

It is also being used by the Aussies, French, and Spanish Forces on their deployments. Along with the PH Huey, Cobra, ATAK, and other assets, the PH will continue to modernize and make use of these assets strategically and wisely along with our partners.

It takes the people behind those machines to make it work and or extend their life to use them effectively. Germany is a rich country, it can afford to buy the next generation of attack helos. It will be a deterrent and defensive posture for the PH. These Chinese made are not battle proven compared to these German made which were deployed to Libya, Mali, & Afgha. The French, Spanish, & Australian Forces had them, too so what’s the big deal? If it’s good for them, it’s good for the AFP. 🫡

The two helicopters that arrived recently are the 2 ATAK helicopters from Turkey. The last two of the 6units we ordered. So far about this two tigers there is now news feedback about any arrival of Tiger Helicopters. and judging on the personnel that is working around it appear to be all German Nationals. I wont believe this news until I see a declaration about this units from the Top Brass of the AFP. This is the kind of news that is unlikely to be missed.
